Dr Gina Trakman

Accredited Practising Dietitian
Gina graduated from the University of Sydney with first class honors and a Bachelor of Science majoring in nutrition. Her experience as an Accredited Practicing Dietitian spans private practice, consulting to private hospitals and working in community settings. She has successfully conducted group programs for diabetes and weight control as well as healthy cooking classes.
She has a PhD in nutrition and additional post-graduate qualifications in sports nutrition as well as alcohol, tobacco and drug studies. She presents her work at national and international conferences. She currently lectures at La Trobe University.
Gina loves to connect to and nurture her clients and enjoys working with the team at Central Melbourne Gastroenterology. Gina wishes to use her research to help patients improve their health and wellbeing through dietary changes. She regularly sees patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis and Coeliac Disease. Her clinical experience and research interest keep her at the top of the field.

However, background information from your doctor regarding your condition can be helpful. If you are eligible for a GP care plan, a Medicare rebate may be claimable. Please contact our office to discuss fees and to arrange an appointment.
