Central Melbourne Gastroenterology

Grace Lovett is a consultant gastroenterologist. She practices privately at Central Melbourne Gastroenterology, performs endoscopy at Epworth Freemasons East Melbourne and has appointments at Eastern Health and St Vincent’s Hospital. She has interests in inflammatory bowel disease, disorders of gut brain interaction and general gastrointestinal complaints.

Grace was awarded a Doctor of Medicine by The University of Melbourne and completed her Gastroenterology training through Monash Health and Western Health.  She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and is accredited in intestinal ultrasound from the International Bowel Ultrasound Society (IBUS) and the Gastroenterology Network of Intestinal Ultrasound (GENIUS).

Grace completed her PhD at The University of Melbourne and St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne, where she conducted her doctoral research on the STRIDENT (Stricture Definition and Treatment) Studies. Her research focus is on developing new diagnostic and treatment modalities for inflammatory bowel disease strictures. Grace’s work on the STRIDENT studies has been published in leading journals including Inflammatory Bowel Diseases and the Journal of the American College of Radiology, and she has presented her findings at major international conferences including Digestive Diseases Week, the European Crohn's and Colitis Organisation conference, and the Australian Gastroenterology Week.
